I am presently at an ETV workshop on blogging. It is so simple to set up. I think the road bumps will really be in the implementation within the classroom. There are do's and don'ts that will need to be followed. Common sense and professionalism will also be of utmost importance!
I am going to attempt to insert a picture and then a video. I tried this in wordpress and it wasn't very intuitive.
Picture first:
Well, here goes!
Incredibly easy! Beats WordPress hands down for eas of use! This is not a picture of me.
This is a picture of Jeni Nix, our Media Specialist at KES. She is with me here at ETV.
Okay, now for a video. I hope I have one on my computer. I'll really be in a bind when I get to photostory if I don't have my videos with me.
Here is my video. It is a SmartBoard recording that I did for the Kindergarten teachers. It uploaded beautifully and easily! I really like this much better than WordPress.
Summertime Thoughts
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm off for the summer, but that doesn't mean that I am not using, reviewing, researching, and integrating technology. Right now, I am working on creating a website for the ITS department. There is so much that could possibly go on it. The layout is complete. Now, we need to start adding content: text, pictures, photo galleries, flash movies and slide shows, etc.
I am going to try to post daily to this blog to see what it looks like and what the effects are. I'm new to this, but I can see I need to catch the wave.
